The World Wide Web (www) is a repository of interconnected information viewable over the Internet.  With the help of a web browser, a visitor can view webpages or webpages and receive and provide instructions using links or hyperlinks. (W3ISO)

What Is WWW. -

The full name of WWW is World Wide Web, which is mainly used to store information.  Through this, all websites are given their own special name, which serves as their identity and which we know as URL.  It is a means of getting information that is in the form of links.  All computers worldwide are interconnected through WWW technology.

We can access these websites and the information contained in them, which may be in the form of images, text, audio or video, from any corner of the world.  Be it laptop, mobile or computer, they can be easily available to everyone  If there is WWW, then we can use internet.

History Of WWW. ?

History Of WWW In Digital Education City -

Tim Berners invented this process.  He skillfully applied his talent and knowledge to discover this WWW. Berners-Lee was director of the W3C. Berners Lee oversaw the development of the W3. He also created hypertext.

Communication techniques were invented through the web.  He invented the technique of linking web pages to each other.

With the concept of hypertext, he changed the view of the Internet.  1989 Berners-Lee begins work on the World Wide Web server.  This server was named “httpd”.  Initially, the WWW was a WYSIWYG hypertext browser/editor running in the NextStep environment. The World Wide Web had reached most of the world by 1991.

How Does WWW. Work?

So now comes the question how this world wide web works.  You must have understood what WWW is.  It works with webservers, websites, browsers, webpages, http, hypertext and finally hyperlinks.  It has the ability to link all page addresses and pages.

When a user opens a web document, he uses an application to do so, which we and you call a web browser.  You know that a web document is written in a web programming language called HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language).  Whenever you type a domain name like www.hindime.net into a web browser, it is called a url.

Each domain has a specific address.  So the browser makes a request to search the domain of http on the World Wide Web.  Simultaneously converts the domain name to a server IP address.  which searches the World Wide Web server for that website address.

When the address matches a page on the server from which the domain is hosted, that page is sent back to the web browser.  which you will see in your web browser.  This is how the WWW works.

Typically these four technologies are used to run the World Wide Web: URLs, web browsers, HTTP and HTML.  Without these, the World Wide Web does not exist.

What Is The Difference Between Internet VS World Wide Web?

Now you are roughly www. Got an idea about. Now we have internet and www. Let's look at the difference between -

Internet-

Intercoded Network is the full name of the Internet.  Basically the journey of internet started with this name.

The Internet was started in 1950 by Vint Kerf.

The first name of the Internet was ARPANET Internet can work without WWW.

It is a hardware.  The Internet mainly uses IP addresses.

WWW. -

The full name of WWW is World Wide Web.

www. was invented by #Tim-Berners-Lee in 1989.

Where the first name of WWW was NFSNET.

On the other hand world wide web cannot work without internet.

Where WWW is software.  Whereas WWW uses Hypertext Transfer Protocol.

What Is The Name Of The World's First Website?

www.Info.cern.ch was the address of the world's first website and #web-server, running on a #NeXT computer at CERN. The first web page address was #http://info.cern.ch/hypertext/ -

#WWW/ TheProject.html - OK👍

The first web server came online in the United States in December 1991.

HTTP Status Code-

As you can see, the HTTP/1.1 200 OK message is sent by the server at first reply. 200 is a status code—meaning the server has found the file requested by the browser and sent it. Also the server can provide more code. For example, if a webpage or file is not found, the server sends a 404 Not Found code.

Again, if a webpage is moved from one link to another, it sends a 301 Permanently moved code. If the server is down for a fix, it sends a 503 Service Unavailable code and the browser understands that it needs to try again.

What Is The URL ?

Another brilliant way Tim Berners-Lee thought of was to store information from any computer to any computer.  He notes that every webpage needs to have a unique name (like every address has a unique zip code), and that's called a URL (a Universal or Uniform Resource Locator).  URL is the address of the page you are currently seeing in the browser bar.

The e address or URL of this page is https://wirebd.com/article/656

Let's try to understand its true meaning in a second…

Whether https is the secure version of http is a different matter.  http means two computers exchange information with each other using this process.

Wirebd.com is an address or the domain name of my computer.

/article/656 is the page you are reading now from my web server. (W3ISO)

What Is Website :

Information stored by anyone which you can access whenever you want and which is open to all public is basically called a website. If you are familiar with any word processing software, you know that you need to save the Word document or CV file you create in a folder or directory on your computer for repeated access.

All the documents on the website are saved in a specific folder or directory, and it can be accessed by anyone without any special permission. The computer on which the website is saved in a directory is called a server. The main document of the website is its text page. But also various graphical documents are stored on the website (for example, photographs are saved in ZIP format, various artworks are saved in GIF and PNG format).

That is, basically any information on a website is written in text form and various graphics are nicely decorated to illustrate that information (like WireBD!) - and they are kept together in a folder that everyone can access.

How Do You Create Webpages ?

Setting up a domain name and web hosting is a five minute job. But building a website can take a lot of time—because you'll need to write a lot of information (the information you want to store), create a nice page layout, and find a variety of photographs to illustrate your information. will need However, there are generally three ways you can create a webpage.

Content Management System (CMS)-

The latest method for creating webpages is to use a Content Management System (CMS). This method helps you to create website automatically leaving all the technical issues aside. You can easily create any page template and set any style with visual changes – called themes.

You can easily create any page and post and publish it on your site. CMS like WordPress, Drupal, Joomla etc. work in the same way. In addition, you can add many types of extra functions to your site if you want - these are called plugins.

How To Upload Your Webpages ?

Once the webpage has been created and the domain and hosting purchased, it is now necessary to upload your webpages to the web server. Webpages are uploaded to web servers using FTP (File Transfer Protocol). The process is very simple, much like copying files from one folder to another on your computer.

As soon as the webpages are uploaded, your website will be publicly accessible within seconds. You can edit any webpage as you wish. Be sure to backup your entire site to your computer to avoid any kind of mistakes. There is no fear of losing your data even if your server crashes.

How To Promote Your Website ?

You definitely want a lot of people to find your website.  So you will need to share your site link on other websites.  You need to register your site with various search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing, and dozens of other search engines.
After some time or later search engines like google will accept your site if your link is added to other sites.  Because Google's robot always visits all sites to index new content.

So these were the topics for today.  If you want to better understand and know how a website is built or how it works, the best way is to try building a website yourself.  You can easily make a site by hosting webpages on your computer and if you are thinking of something professional, you can buy a host and domain from a good ISP and make a site.
